DDP Calculator
A delivered-duty-paid quote is the product, plus international freight and insurance, plus US duty, plus MPF and ocean HMF, plus the brokerage you type. The form below is the landed cost calculator. Leave the importing country on the United States for a US DDP quote. The line order is the landed cost calculation structure. The Incoterm definition is DDP.
United Kingdom is starter coverage of UK Trade Tariff third-country duty (24 codes). A code outside that set returns no data, not a US rate.
One quote this form produces
$8,000 of Vietnamese clothing, ocean, freight $640.00, insurance $40.00, brokerage $150.00. Duty is 29% ($2,320.00). Estimated MPF (formal entry): $33.58. Ocean HMF: $10.00. DDP-style total: $11,193.58. Change any typed amount and the total changes. The duty rate does not.
DDP, DAP, and EXW
DDP puts maximum obligation on the seller: the price is supposed to include delivery and the import duty. DAP delivers to the named place and leaves the duty with the buyer, which is why a carrier bill can still show up. EXW stops at the seller's door. Use this page to build the duty-inclusive number a DDP seller has to cover. Use the tariff calculator when you have an HTS code and only want the duty line.
Who is the importer of record
DDP is an Incoterm, not a CBP status. The importer of record is the party named on the entry who is liable for the duty. On a DDP sale that is often the seller or the seller's broker. The buyer who thought the checkout price was final is not automatically off the entry. If a carrier still bills you, the shipment was not cleared as the DDP quote assumed.
